Terms of Service
Last updated: October 2026
Welcome to Unsaid. These Terms govern your use of the Unsaid website and application (the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.
1. Who we are
Unsaid is operated by Abdoulaye Ibrahima Ndiaye, an individual based in Senegal ("Unsaid", "we", "us"). Contact: unsaidservice@gmail.com.
2. What Unsaid does
Unsaid lets you write letters and record voice or video messages, store them privately, choose recipients, and have them delivered to those recipients after you are no longer here. Unsaid is a personal memory-keeping and message-delivery tool. It is not a legal will, a testament, or a legal or financial service, and it does not replace one.
3. Eligibility and your account
You must be at least 18 years old. You agree to provide accurate information, keep your login details secure, and be responsible for all activity under your account. Tell us right away if you think your account was accessed without your permission.
4. Subscription and billing
Unsaid costs $9.99 per month, billed monthly in advance. Payments are processed by our online reseller and Merchant of Record, Dodo Payments, which handles billing, taxes, payment security, and order-related inquiries and returns. We do not store your full card details. Your subscription renews automatically each month until you cancel. You can cancel at any time, and you keep access until the end of the period you have already paid for. We may change the price with at least 30 days' notice, and the new price applies from your next billing period.
5. How message delivery works
Nothing is sent by accident. Delivery happens only through these steps: (1) About every 3 months, we ask you to confirm "I’m still here". (2) If you do not respond, we notify the trusted contacts you chose. (3) A trusted contact must confirm. Trusted contacts can never read your messages. (4) A 10-day safety window follows, during which you can still cancel everything. (5) Only after these steps are your messages delivered to the recipients you chose.
You are responsible for choosing trusted contacts and recipients carefully and keeping their contact details up to date. Delivery depends on valid email addresses and on third-party services outside our control, so we cannot guarantee that a message will be received or read.
6. Your content
You own your content. We do not claim ownership of it. You give us the permission needed to store your content and deliver it as you instructed. We do not read, sell or share your content, and we do not use it for advertising. You are responsible for the content you create and the recipients you choose, and you confirm you have the right to share the content you upload.
7. Prohibited use
You may not use Unsaid to store or send content that is illegal, threatening, harassing, hateful or sexually explicit; content involving minors in any harmful way; malware; or content that infringes someone else’s rights. You may not use Unsaid to harass, defraud or harm others, including by sending unwanted messages to people who have not agreed to receive them. We may suspend or close accounts that break these rules.
8. If your subscription ends or a payment fails
If a payment fails, we will notify you and give you a grace period of 14 days to update your payment method. If your subscription is cancelled or expires, you can download your content for 30 days, after which it may be permanently deleted. While your subscription is inactive, scheduled delivery may be paused. Please keep your subscription active if you want your messages to be delivered.
9. Deleting your account
You can delete your messages or your account at any time. When you delete your account, your content is permanently removed from our systems, except limited information we must keep for legal or accounting reasons.
10. Privacy and security
Please read our Privacy Policy to understand what data we collect and how we protect it. No online service can be guaranteed to be 100% secure, but we work to protect your information.
11. Changes to the Service
We may improve, change or discontinue features. If we ever decide to shut down Unsaid entirely, we will give you at least 60 days’ notice by email and a way to export your content before it is deleted.
12. Disclaimers and limits of liability
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". We do not guarantee that it will be uninterrupted or error-free. To the fullest extent allowed by law, Unsaid is not liable for indirect or consequential damages, or for losses caused by incorrect recipient details, unavailable third-party services, or events outside our reasonable control. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
13. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Senegal. Nothing in these Terms removes consumer rights that you have under the law of your country and that cannot be waived.
14. Changes to these Terms and contact
We may update these Terms. If a change is important, we will notify you by email or in the app. Questions? Contact us at unsaidservice@gmail.com.
